VALENTINE CHARLES

France

During my 12 years of fundraising for organizations in France and abroad, I have learned that fundraising is a real opportunity for organizations willing to make a change. There is no universal solution, each situation is influenced by multiple factors, and understanding them requires a new, global and multidisciplinary approach.

After my studies at Sorbonne University and a first professional experience in Paris, I left in 2006 as a reporter/project manager in Africa, Asia and the Middle East. I saw many challenges and understood the determination needed to carry out projects, especially in difficult socio-economic contexts.

I found out about the crucial role of civil society, developing a deep interest in how nonprofit organizations tackle the most difficult of challenges. Since 2013, I have supported nonprofits as a fundraiser.

Driven by a spirit of collective intelligence, I joined the em4 network in 2022 to contribute to the sustainable development of the social impact sector.
